The primary structural component of these wood playsets is pressure treated southern yellow pine. The pressure treatment has been approved by the EPA for residential use and enables the wood to withstand decay and termite infestation when exposed to the elements. In addition, some playset parts are made from cedar, cypress, composite lumber, powder coated metal, and similar weather resistant materials. All wood playsets are warranted by the manufacturer for ten years against defects in workmanship or materials.
Other specifications include:
- Double 2x8 swingset beams
- Two double 2x6 swingset top ladders (monkey bars or climbers)
- Swingset beam & top ladder lengths: 10' for two position swingsets, 12' for three position swingsets, 14' for four position swingsets, and 16' for five position swingsets
- 4x4 posts for playhouses & playset towers extend from ground to roof area
- Powder coated rungs for swingset climbing towers, end ladders, & top ladders
- Composite lumber (similar to Trex) used for playhouse & playset tower decks
- Double 2x4 posts for swingset end ladders & climbing towers
- 2x10 or 2x4 plus 2x6 sandboxes sides for 9" or 8½" height
- Stakes for anchoring playsets included
